Terms and house rules

What this is

• A game, and satire. Nobody is on the other end of the call.
• For adults aged 18 and over. It contains strong language. It has no sexual content.
• The bosses are cartoons. Any resemblance to a real person is your doing, not ours.

House rules

Go after what a boss does, not who they are. The same rules apply to what you say and to the names you give things.

• No threats or violence.
• No slurs, and nothing about race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age or looks.
• Nothing about anyone’s family.
• No sexual content.
• No real full names, addresses, phone numbers or other personal details. A first name and one initial is the limit.
• Breaking a rule in a call brings in HR and costs points. 3 strikes end the call.
• We may rename or remove a boss, a league or a pinned result that breaks these rules, and close an account that keeps doing it.

Real people

• Do not use the game to harass, threaten or defame a real person.
• What you copy, post or send from the game is your own speech. You are responsible for it.
• If something made with the game is being used against you, write to us and we will look at it.

If you are not joking

If a line sounds like you may be in real distress, the game stops and shows where to find help. It is a game and not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services.

Your account

• Your account is anonymous. We cannot identify you, so we cannot restore an account for you. Your recovery link, from Settings, is the only way to move an account or get it back. Keep it safe and private.
• You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time in Settings.

What is free and what is paid

• Playing is free: typed calls, the daily offense, leagues and your wall. Free play includes 3 minutes of voice a day, 3 bosses and 3 throws a call. We may change these amounts.
• The Severance Package costs $3.99 (US dollars) a month and renews every month until you cancel. It raises those limits and adds the extras listed in the Shop. It does not include theme packs.
• A theme pack costs $1.99 (US dollars), once, and is yours to keep, with or without a subscription.
• Tax, where it applies, is added at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe, on Stripe’s own page.
• Nothing you can buy affects the daily board or a league. Everyone plays the daily offense with the same kit.

Canceling and refunds

• Cancel a subscription at any time in Settings. It runs to the end of the month you have paid for and then stops. Nothing you made is deleted.
• If something you paid for did not work, tell us within 14 days and we will put it right or refund it.
• Deleting your account stops a subscription at once, without a refund for the rest of that month.
• If you have lost your recovery link and cannot get back to Settings, you can still cancel. The Help page shows how, step by step.

The small print

• The game is offered as it is. We try to keep it running and fair, and we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
• We may change the game, these terms or the prices. A price change never applies to a month you have already paid for.
• As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the game, and never for more than you paid us in the last twelve months.
• The music, drawings, words and code belong to us. The lines you say are yours.
